Butterfly Park in Chandigarh is situated in front of the main entrance of Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology in Sector 26. The butterfly park extends over 7 acres with a meticulous scene, with special care taken to create habitat for butterflies. This park has 35 species of butterflies including Common Grass Yellow, Apefly, Blue Mormon, Chocolate Pansy, Commander, Common Blue Bottle and Angled Castor. The best time to see beautiful and colourful butterflies is March to October — in winter some species hibernate. The park has plants including Lantana, Dahlia, Marigold, Gazania, Amla, Ashoka, Citrus, Mango and Palm.
