Cactus Garden is formally recognized as the National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden. Developed to preserve endangered species of cacti and succulents, it is considered Asia's largest garden dedicated to exceptional and rare species. This garden has more than 3,500 varieties of cacti and succulents — including opuntias, ferocactus, agaves, Echinocereus, columnar and mammillarias. It has 272 kinds of genus Mammillaria and 160 species growing naturally outdoors. The collection of Indian succulents here is recognized as the largest in the world. Every year in March a cactus show is organized.
